Elliot Page Just Dropped His First Thirst Trap and We’re Parched!
Elliot Page just posted their first-ever shirtless pic on their Instagram account and we are all thirsty as a mummy eating a Popeye’s biscuit in the desert over here.
The post shows Page in sunglasses, a dad hat, and maroon swim trunks, standing on the stairs of a pool, and they look great! Page captioned the image “Trans bb’s first swim trunks” with the hashtags #transjoy and #transisbeautiful.
Not only does Page have a newly sculpted chest, but he’s also showing off his absolutely killer abs! Trans guys and nonbinary people deserve to feel sexy with their scars and here’s Page showing off his chest in an obvious thirst trap.
With the picture, Page is celebrating their transition, and celebrating their body in a way that trans people rarely get to. Page isn’t just saying “look at who I am,” he’s saying “look how hot I am,” and we have to agree.
Page came out as trans in December of last year, and has been slowly and steadily re-entering the public eye ever since. “Hi friends,” he wrote at the time on his social media. “I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they, and my name is Elliot.”
This year, Page has been sharing more of their coming out journey. First they appeared on the cover of Time, becoming the first trans masculine person to do so. He talked more about his coming out process in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in April.
In the first selfie he posted after coming out, he thanked his fans for supporting him. Now, he’s showing us his body for the first time since transitioning.
On the latest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Gottmik, the show’s first transmasculine contestant did something similar. In one of her early looks she wore a dress that covered only half her chest with a pasty on the other nipple, showing off her top surgery scar as a part of the look.
“Ever since I got my top surgery, I love having my chest out, let me tell you that,” Gottmik said in a confessional. “I am living for it and I never want this feeling to go away.”
It’s shaping up to be an epic Shirtless Summer for trans masc folks across the world, and we wouldn’t want it any other way!
